• Checking mothers vitals after birth is very important a sudden drop in blood pressure or temperature means they could be hemorrhaging

• Mom needs to be active to prevent blood clots

• There are three stages of postpartum drainage

• Babies need to be breast-fed every 2 to 3 hours and bottle-fed every 3 to 4. 

• Babies need to pass their first poop within 48 to 36 hours. 

• Mother’s need to track the amount of wet diapers a baby has
