This is a Work in Progress — Check Back Later for Updates!
I am designing a medical record system for new parents to create a lifelong record of their childs health to give them when they become an adult. This project is intended to take place 15 years in the future, when data privacy laws are more strict and people have complete ownership of their health data.
What is Med Print?
Med Print is a decentralized health record system designed for parents to create a lifelong digital timeline of their child’s life. Med Print visualizes health holistically, rather than focusing on numbers and test results, it provides a narrative with the Child’s health. The app gathers data from both the child’s parents and physician. The decentralized system provides its users with full ownership of their health data, making it easy for the parent’s to transfer ownership to their child once they come of age.
Problem Statement
There is currently no system that exists for parents to organize their Childs health data. The health records they have access to are designed for clinical use, making it difficult for parents to decipher. Meaning that when the child reaches adulthood they have a hard time understanding what happened to them as a child. What if there was a system for parents to keep records of their children from birth to adulthood?
